Take a quick look at some of our favorite shots from over the years! At this event which was held at Pocono Raceway, we were tasked with the challenge of keeping up with some of the fastest cars on the east coast. We knew we needed to capture this in a unique way, and what better way than to go side by side with some of these insane cars. Our camera car was a modified Toyota Supra MK5 pushing about 700 horsepower. Now, normally these cars don't come with a tow hitch, so we had to custom fabricate one ourselves from scratch, and weld it to the frame of the car. To this day this Supra still has a tow hitch on it! Why did we do all of this? The Racemotive team hired us because they knew we could take what is an already exciting event and take it to an entirely new level. When a viewer watches a video of ours, they see the polished end product. But what they don't see are all of the challenges we overcome during pre-production that ends up creating that final polished video. The pre-production phase, in this case all of the prepping we needed to do with the Supra, as well as storyboarding. Is arguably the most important phase in a production. It lays the proper groundwork that leads to the outcome of the final product. We rigged up the entire vehicle with speedrail, and Motocrane's SRB arm, paired with a Movi Pro and RED Gemini kit, our camera car was unstoppable on the track. That's the outside of the car, but the inside of the car had us looking like we were in a fighter jet. From the passenger seat of the car we could control and see everything that the camera is doing, this was made possible by Hollyland's wireless transmission system, and various other parts. With this entire camera car setup, we were able to safely go 144mph, and we were able to keep up (or beat) with most of the cars throughout the day.

The past few years I have covered this event, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that show up, and overall how friendly everyone is. Throughout the week there is always something going on that is hosted by the Wolfsgart team, and it really lets you get to experience Vermont in all of its glory. I decided to take a slightly different approach on this recap video and really incorporate more people, more interviews, more story. In addition, we had the opportunity to photograph their full product lineup and create a captivating advertisement in both the vibrant cityscape and the tranquil beauty of Long Island. Welcome to Appell, a Long Island-based, innovative pavement services company, rooted in professionalism and customer satisfaction. We created a video for them to show their story and introduce the franchising possibilities which they are starting to offer.

We met the 71 Visuals family through another client of ours 915 Construction. The 71 Visuals team specializes in building creative environments for some of the most well known brands in the world. We have been working alongside them for the past couple of years now, and have been generating massive amounts of content for them. Just some of that content includes: capturing the creative environments they build out with video and photo content. FPV drone tours of their facilities. Headshots and content buildout for their website, as well as consultation for upcoming projects and monthly content. Working with the 71 Visuals team is always extremely fun and exciting, just being in the workspace that they are in, makes you want to be as creative as possible. However, one of the biggest challenges in working with a company as creative as them, is delivering content that falls within their brand guidelines and doesn't stray away from the message, and creativity that they want their own clients to see. G's Cleaning reached out to us because they needed a new promotional video for their business. They specialize in high end carpet, upholstery, stone, wood, and leather cleaning. Their team is an absolute blast to work with, they are all extremely upbeat, and love to have fun while working. This made our job that much easier when creating this for them in this beautiful home. What we love most about working with G's, apart from them having an awesome team, is how clean we get to see the space afterwards once they work their magic on it. This narrative piece was entirely a one take scene. The viewer watches as the couple gets into the vehicle, and what starts off as a small argument, blows up into something massive. We wanted to really emphasize the dramatics here by doing a very, very slow camera push in, not only to make the space seem small as if you can't escape, but to immerse the viewer with the 2 characters. Transparent, your aftermarket car care warranty company. They let us have A LOT of fun on their new commercial campaigns. For this commercial we were tasked with dropping a 500lb boulder through a car windshield. This is absolutely no easy task. After sourcing the boulder, we had to safely rig the boulder to a crane to be able to release it onto the vehicle. This took a lot of pre-planning and coordination. A new advertising concept brought to life by the owner Archie, Limo ADD was exceptionally fun to shoot and create. Before heading into the city we did a lot of pre-planning figuring out what locations we wanted to go to, what time of day we wanted to hit them (to avoid heavy traffic), and how we were going to shoot everything. Put a vehicle on a golf course? Check. Have a set of golfers tee off on the vehicle? Check. What better way to show off a Paintless Dent Repair warranty than with hundreds of golf ball dents on a vehicle? Bringing vitamins to life for Amazon listings Shooting products in a studio is never easy. It requires a lot of thinking and pre-planning to make the shots as dynamic as possible, to keep the viewers attention. We implemented many different food techniques, as well as incorporating an actress into the video to achieve these goals. In addition to all of that, we kept an appealing color palette throughout the video, matched with soft lighting to really make this product pop!

Filming through Manhatten between 10 P.M. and 4 A.M. Creating and shooting automotive features is one of our favorite things to do. For this shoot, we decided to wing it and go with no plan, strictly run and gun. All we know is that we wanted to shoot in NYC at night, and have a very moody vibe to the video. The great thing about NYC, in and near Times Square specifically, is that there are lights that can always add a bit of extra flair to footage. You’ll see in the video there are scenes we specifically orchestrated to have the light hit our subjects in a unique way. We are able to capture beautiful rolling footage by using our custom made car rig in the front and back of our camera car.

Going to unique locations and being able to create and produce amazing content is one of our favorite things to do. Hydrosilex is an automotive car care company. For this video we headed out into a forest, and had a blast running these vehicles through the mud and trees to create a launch video for their new product.

The owner of MadMen Barbershop, Ed, is an extremely creative individual. Solely by himself he has been able to differentiate his barbershop from all the others. Ed hired us because he knew we were able to create something special for him. Ed was opening up a new barbershop down in Santiago, and he wanted to create a new promotional video for the opening of his shop, something that he knew would stick with people upon watching it. We spent a few days down there shooting the entirety of the video, and we simply love how it came out. It brings in a lot of cultural elements of Santiago, and shows off how diverse the culture is.

The crazy part of this trip is that we only stayed in Taiwan for 3 days. Within this extremely tight window of time we had an enormous amount of work to do. But it just goes to show you that even in some of the roughest environments, Blacksail makes it happen.

Running around the streets of London. This job ended up being our first time in London. So naturally, we were just excited to be in an environment we’ve never filmed before. We had a small 4 man crew for this one. Geoff our producer, Sam our Director/Camera Operator, Mark our tour guide and camera car operator, and Anthony our talent. We ran through the streets of London creating a lifestyle video for the brand Ceramic Pro. We wanted to deliver something totally different than what they’ve normally gotten in the past for content. We were on a very strict timeline as we were only in London for 2 days (3 days in total, 1 of which being just a travel day), so we had to move very fast and efficiently.
