Mad Men Barbershop Santiago

The owner of MadMen Barbershop, Ed, is an extremely creative individual.

Solely by himself he has been able to differentiate his barbershop from all the others. Ed hired us because he knew we were able to create something special for him. Ed was opening up a new barbershop down in Santiago, and he wanted to create a new promotional video for the opening of his shop, something that he knew would stick with people upon watching it.

  memories from the set

“Filmmaking can give you everything, but at the same time, it can take everything from you.”
- Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu

We spent a few days down there shooting the entirety of the video, and we simply love how it came out. It brings in a lot of cultural elements of Santiago, and shows off how diverse the culture is. This Ad was more of a run and gun scenario. There were no true actors or actresses, just people we could find on a whim that we thought would fit the production properly. This made us have to think on our feet often, and problem solve on the fly. Filming in new environments can sometimes be tricky, and also pretty scary. Before even flying out to Santiago, we researched areas that were safe for the crew, as well as appealing for the end product. Upon landing in Santiago, we then scouted out these locations to make sure everything was good to go for filming. Proper location scouting is extremely important in keeping a production running safely and smoothly.
