Lighting and sound are some of the most essential pieces to a production. Lighting affects perception, and helps set the mood and tone of the production. Having the proper lighting raises the level of the video that is created. Clear and concise sound helps to not only sell the end product better, but also brings you more in-tune with the video.

In opera, everyone's watching from a fixed viewpoint, and that really challenges you. Lighting, the sets, stage groupings, the music-but doesn't relate too much to film.
