of shooting commercials for national brands and Long Island businesses.
Blacksail Productions produces commercials for brands in New York City and on Long Island from our studio in Locust Valley: broadcast and streaming spots, digital and paid-social campaigns, product spots and brand films. Clients include Tag Heuer, Lexus racing, Bedgear and Ceramic Pro, and our automotive work won the 2024 Hagerty Drivers Club award for Best Short Drive Film. Concept, casting, locations, crew, color and sound are handled by one team.
The shoot day is the expensive part, so we plan each one to produce more than a single spot. Every project is boarded and shot-listed to deliver the :30, :15, :06 and vertical cuts from the same setups, with alternate openings for testing. Our crews are licensed and insured, carry backup cinema packages and know the permit process in the five boroughs and in Nassau and Suffolk. When the brief needs a controlled space, our Long Island studio is about an hour from Midtown.

Product spots in our Locust Valley studio and automotive commercials on the road, including camera-car and vehicle-to-vehicle work. Macro, tabletop and motion setups for products. Stabilized rigs and drones for cars, with a crew that has shot them on Long Island estates and in the desert.

Brand Films and Campaign Content
Longer brand films, launch videos and the campaign anchor the shorter spots are cut from. Our photographers shoot alongside the video crew, so stills and video are lit and graded to match and delivered together.
